Mike McDaniel Wikipedia, Age, Career, Biography, Ethnicity, Net Worth:- Mike McDaniel is an American football coach who currently serves as the head coach of the Miami Dolphins in the National Football League (NFL). A former longtime assistant to Mike and Kyle Shanahan, McDaniel began his NFL coaching career in 2005 as an intern with the Denver Broncos. From 2017 to 2021, McDaniel worked as an assistant coach with the Houston Texans, Washington Redskins, Cleveland Browns, Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers, eventually becoming the offensive coordinator in 2021. McDaniel played in two Super Bowls, the first with the Falcons in 2017 and the second with the 49ers in 2020.

McDaniel worked with the 49ers for five seasons, mostly as the run game coordinator. McDaniel’s career ended with the team’s second NFC Championship Game appearance in three seasons; he was the offensive coordinator that season before leaving to become the head coach of the Dolphins.

McDaniel is a Yale graduate who began his NFL career as a coaching intern with Mike Shanahan’s 2005 Broncos. The next year, McDaniel joined Gary Kubiak (Shanahan’s former right-hand man) in Houston as an assistant, working alongside Robert Saleh and Kyle Shanahan.

McDaniel was born in 1983 in Aurora, Colorado. He will be 40 years old in 2023. He graduated from Smoky Hill High School in 2001. He was a wide receiver in college at Yale, where he also earned a degree in history.


In 2005, Mike McDaniel began his NFL career as a coaching intern with the Denver Broncos. He played under coach Mike Shanahan and led the Broncos to their first AFC title, which they lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers. In 2006, he joined the Houston Texans as an offensive assistant coach, reporting to head coach Gary Kubiak. He was a member of the Texans until 2008. In 2009, he became the running backs coach for the Sacramento Mountain Lions of the United Football League. He returned to the NFL in 2010 as an offensive assistant for the Washington Redskins, reporting to coach Mike Shanahan once more. He was named the wide receivers coach.

In 2014, he became the Cleveland Browns wide receivers coach under head coach Mike Pettine. In 2016, he was hired as an offensive assistant for the Atlanta Falcons, reporting to head coach Dan Quinn. He helped the Falcons reach Super Bowl LI when they were defeated by the New England Patriots in a stunning comeback. In 2017, he joined coach Kyle Shanahan’s San Francisco 49ers as their running back coordinator. He was named offensive coordinator in 2021. He helped the 49ers reach Super Bowl LIV when they were defeated by the Kansas City Chiefs.
Mike was named head coach of the Miami Dolphins in 2022, becoming the youngest NFL head coach at age 40. In his debut season, he led the Dolphins to a winning season, going 10-7 and narrowly missing the playoffs.
